FINDER (Finding Individuals for Disaster and Emergency Response) uses low-power microwave radar to detect the small movements from breathing and the heartbeat of a buried victim, even when the signal must pass through several feet of building debris and rubble.

JPL delivered a functional prototype of 3D-MARVEL (Multi-Angle Rear-Viewing Endoscopic) to the Skull Base Institute in 2013. It was developed for minimally invasive neurosurgery.
